An interesting instrument with a fine voice, finished in a warm orange-brown varnish. The two piece back in a delicate medium curl descending from the centre joint, and with an attractive mother-of-pearl floral inlay in the centre; nicely figured ribs and scroll, which is canted slightly to one side, and a front in tight grain spruce, broadening towards the wings. Well set up with new French bridge and soundpost, Pirastro Tonica strings and new case and bow this violin would repay playing and listening to. Keenly priced at
